WhiteStar's Aerial Photography Imagery Database consists of aerial photographic quadrangles fo 1 or 2 meter resolution. Most of the imagery is natural color, but a handful of states are color infrared. Uniform scale and projection make these images ideal for base maps and for revising and interpreting vector cartographic features. Our Imagery is compatible with WhiteStar 1:24,000 Texas and Public Land Survey data as well as our 'Unlimited' line of products.
Data Source
WhiteStar's Aerial Photography Imagery Database is compiled from USGS Digital Quarter Quadrangle Coverage (DOQQ) and USDA National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP). The imagery files are based on 1996-2007 aerial photography. The Imagery database is constantly updated as additional imagery becomes available. |

Enhancement
WhiteStar offers images in MrSID® format using Lizardtech image compression technology. This process can reduce file size from the original GeoTIFF format, creating more manageable files without sacrificing image quality. The imagery has been tonally balanced to improve tiling and mosaicing results. Other services include compiling imagery for custom areas of interest (such as corridors), tiling for seamless coverage, and reprojection into user-specified coordinate systems. |
