Yuletide Greetings

As the year draws to a close, we want to wish each customer a happy holiday season and also to extend wishes to each of you for a prosperous and joyous new year. At WhiteStar, as has been the tradition for several years, we give each employee a sum to donate to a 501(c)(3) qualifying charity of their choice. We then donate that amount through the Colorado Gives program which matches the base amount. This amazingly successful organization donated $35.1 million to 2,481 charities this year.

This year has also seen some exciting developments at WhiteStar, with the launch of the WhiteStar Legal Mapper on Esri’s ArcGIS Pro. Basically, given any legal description, we offer the data, software and services to map it.

Our data development team has also been quite busy. 2018 saw the completion of WhiteStar Lots, Tracts and Quarter-Quarters for California and in Michigan. States currently underway include Nebraska and South Dakota. These data are available nowhere else and are critical for accurate land mapping. A current status graphic is available here.

We also formally announced our partnership with Digital Map Products of Irvine, California. Each quarter, we load the latest and greatest parcel data into WhiteStar Cloud for instant access or streaming into subscriber projects. WhiteStar Cloud subscribers have instant access to a wide variety of data formats in user selectable areas of interest and coordinate systems.

In September, we brought together internal and industry experts at a Land Lease Mapping Seminar series held in Houston and in Denver. These events attracted nearly 100 attendees from leading companies to learn about the various resources, challenges and solutions involved in mapping complex land descriptions. We look to continue these educational efforts with a series of focused “lunch and learns” around the country next year. Please contact us if you would like us to bring lunch to your team members to hear about how to efficiently map your business land polygons.
